Nine Months...it may not seem like a big milestone to capture, but it is by far one of my favorites! Especially when I have seen a baby since their very first weeks of life, every couple of months. The transition from finally mastering sitting up to now more daring moves begins. And every baby I photograph proves to have their own determination in this. It is so joyful and fulfilling to see this happening before my eyes and precious to remember. That time they almost took their first crawl (or face plant for most) forward, the moment they actually stood up on their own in amazement before they quickly wobbled back down, and sometimes even those first brave steps! I have seen it all and have literally even caught the photo of that "first time." It is everything to a parent. This I know. And I am incredibly lucky to get to share in those moments.
I have been photographing Anisha here since she was born and it has been an incredible experience for me. She has grown to amaze me already in just nine quick months. The personality that she has developed is just perfection. She is strong, fierce and not challenged by much (she's practically walking already!) yet she has the purest, gentlest, kind way about her that just makes you fall in love. She will do great things in this crazy world for sure. And it is not hard to know where she gets it from. Both of this little girls parents are just as amazing and kind. They are a pleasure to work for and be around, and beyond great parents. I have learned a great deal about their culture and have loved being able to get to know them and call them friends. When clients are first time parents, it is always extra special to be able to create these memories of their new obsession. As every few months goes by, and they come for each session, a relationship is formed and before long, a love. How lucky am I?!
It never gets old, or boring as the months go by, every day is a new memory. These are some of my favorites from Anisha's gallery, portraying her personality perfectly.
